New Year
I’m up in San Jose for the New Year. My brother is at the beach watching the fireworks, my mom is at her friend’s party, and my dad is at work. Sadly, this is the first time we’ve all been apart on this holiday. =( But THANK GOODNESS I can merge together 4 different calls on my iPhone so that I can talk to them all at once!
Note to self as I welcome in 2012
- Don’t try to make people change. I can only change myself, adapt to the situation, or leave it alone.
- Accept the unchangeable.
- Cheer up because there is so much to be happy about.
- Count your blessings everyday. I am forever grateful for my family, friends, and education. <3
- Friends should always support each other.
- If it’s not mutual, then it’s not worth it.
- Acknowledge the people who truly care about you in your life. I’m tired of wasting my time, energy, and affection on those who treat me as if I’m easily disposable. IDGAF anymore, and I’m honestly glad that I severed all ties with those people.
- And lastly, it’s a huge red flag when a guy tells you from the start that he doesn’t want to commit. Again, don’t bother trying to change him. Don’t wait around to see if he’ll change his mind about you. Just get the hell outta there! If I had realized this earlier, I would’ve spared myself from heartache.
- You were a huge waste of my time and I plan on leaving you behind in 2011. Bye!
